Arrival at Bangalore airport on the 7th of December 2010, departure from Chennai airport (Madras) on the 21st, early morning

The aim of the trip is to open a window on the various Spiritual paths in India; offer a wide and diversified vision of a culture, which has been for thousands of years, centred in living in constant contact with the Divine. Divine, represented in many different ways and forms, may you call Him God -one or many-, animal, tree, light or the Human Being who stands by your side

This voyage, like a map, offers various routes, where each one could, at different moments, get attuned with his/her own inner Being.

NIght of arrival:

One night in Bangalore to rest from the trip. After breakfast, we will move to Mysore and stop on the way in Srirangapatna, where we will get a first contact with indian culture in Nimishamba temple, where the deity, it is said, grants your wishes in one minute.

7 - 9, December

Two nights in Mysore, city of palaces. We will visit various ashrams in the city and melts in the day to day life of India

9 - 12, December

Three nights in Coorg, in a coffee and banana estate. If the number of participants exceeds 10, we will go to Ooty, tea plantations and hill sation in the Nilgiris.

Walks in nature, rest and more enfasis on the yoga practice

12, December

On the way back to Mysore, we will visit the Golden Temple, in Kushalnagar, tibetan settlement of the South.

13, December

One night in Bangalore to shorten the trip to reach Arunachala

14 - 17, December

Three nights in Thiruvannamalai, following the steps of Ramana Maharshi and other saints who have been or still are...luckily immersing ourselves in one of the major place of pilgrimage in South India. We will take part to the chants in the ashram in the evening and during the day, sit at the darshan of Shiva-Shakti, quite an amazing woman saint who has been in silence for the past 20 years. She will generously expand her grace on you by her sole presence

17 - 20, December

Three nights in a village on the outskirt of Pondicherry, in a beautiful resort by the sea. Visit of Aurobindo's ashram and Auroville, dream community of Mother, spiritual companion of Sri Aurobindo.

On the way to the airport, we will stop at Mamallapuram, quite a wonderful historical site, where Balan, oiur guide wil explian the story of the ramayana and show us the secret remedies of the Nature.

Dinner in the village and drive to Chennai airport on that same night.

 

JIVAMUKTI YOGA

Founded in 1984 by Sharon Gannon and David Life in New York. This yoga is based on a sequence of asanas entertwined by quite a strong vinyasa practice and supported by the breath.

This methodology stresses as well the importance of the study of the self (Swadhyaya), the practice of non-violence (Ahimsa), devotion (Bhakti), the yoga of sound (nada yoga) and meditation (Dhyana)

Yogeswari

Yogeswari is one of the most seniors teachers in the method. She is based in New-York but teaches around the world, in five different languages.

She is known for her vigorous, innovative sequencing and thought-provoking teachings.

Yogeswari will be guiding the yoga practices in the morning (about 10 sessions in total) and will accompany us with her harmonium in the evening for bhajans.
